James P. Sorbino, 88, of Piscataway, passed away on Sunday August 1, 2021 at his home. James was born and raised in New Brunswick, and had lived in Piscataway for 50 years. Prior to retiring, he was a Supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service in Secaucus for 25 years. James will be remembered as a great story teller. He was an avid NY Yankees fan who enjoyed trips to the casino, playing the lottery and cigars. James was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Hustik) Sorbino in 2019; his son, Anthony Sorbino in 2007; his parents, Lawrence and Margaret Sorbino; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his children and their spouses, James Jr. and Annette, George and Carol and Beth Ann Salerno and Michael; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 4-7PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
