Sylvia J. Tucker, 65, of Edison, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at home in Edison, New Jersey. Sylvia resided in Edison for 20 years. She grew up and completed High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Sylvia was passionate about and dedicated to her family, especially her grandsons. She was a kind and spiritual soul who loved to take care of and look after others. Sylvia is survived by her soulmate of 50 years, George Newton Jr.; daughter, Monique Tucker; grandsons, D’Andre and Dominic Gibson; all of Edison, New Jersey. She also leaves three loving sisters, Clara Trapp (James), Patricia Lowery (Johnny), Natale Christian (Robert); and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish her memory. Following Sylvia’s wishes, a private cremation was entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 729 Union Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut 06607.
