Obituary of George Beszterczei

Highland Park - George Beszterczei, originally from Hungary, resident of Highland Park for the past 50 years, entered the nearer presence of God on Saturday, October 17th, 2020. He was 73 years old. George was a proud graduate of Highland Park High School, a fan of the New York Rangers, and a wonderful church member at the Reformed Church of Highland Park. George was a staple in the Highland Park community—a man who, for years, kept the same routine that brought him to the Dish Cafe and other local shops on an almost daily basis. He was a kind presence in the community and will be sorely missed. George was predeceased by his parents Goerge and Kathy Beszterczei and uncle Godfrey Antoni. A service of thanksgiving for George will be held at the Reformed Church of Highland Park on Friday, October 23rd, at noon. The service will be held in the church yard at 19 S. 2nd Ave, masks and social distancing are required. Flowers can be sent to the Reformed Church of Highland Park at 19 S. 2nd Ave.
