Obituary of William E. Buckelew

William E. Buckelew, 86, of Piscataway, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. William was born and raised in New Brunswick, moving to Piscataway in 1990. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1955. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was later inducted into the St. Peter’s HS Hall of Fame for his MVP performance in the State Basketball Championship. William retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 456. He was a National Electrical Contractor Association Certified Estimator and Contractor. He was also an Application Specialist at Thomas and Betts, Corp. and an entrepreneur as the VP of Marketing for Intelli-Pro, a pick and place robotics manufacturer for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Buckelew served at one time on the Board of Directors for March of Dimes, and as Chairman of the March of Dimes in South Plainfield, NJ. William was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; parents, Edmund and Elizabeth Buckelew; brothers, Edmund Jr., James, Richard, Harold and Joseph; and a sister, Mary. He is survived by his children, William, Christopher, Ellen and Jennifer; sister, Ann Buckelew; and his grandchildren, David, Morgan, Eion, Jessica, Brenna, Ryleigh and James. Funeral services were private under the direction of Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick.
