Helen M. Hawkins, 88, of Edison, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Helen was born and raised in Kingston, PA. She was a long time member of the Reformed Church of Highland Park and was a volunteer at the thrift shop. Helen enjoyed the sewing circle group at church where they created handmade items for the church bazaar. She loved to knit, cook, bake and spend time with her family. Helen will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert Hawkins in 2017. She is survived by her children, Bob Hawkins and his wife Fatima of FL, Glenn of Annandale, NJ and Sharon Hawkins Vargo and her husband Chris of IN; along with 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Following her wishes, Helen was privately cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Reformed Church of Highland Park, NJ or the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge, NJ. Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
