Obituary of John M. Shlyk
John M. Shlyk, 64, of Piscataway, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. John served his country in the United States Coast Guard, and was a member of the American Legion Post 1000 in Trenton. He was Head Mechanic at the United States Postal Service Kilmer Annex in Edison, New Jersey for 32 years. In his free time, John built and rode Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was an animal lover who enjoyed gardening. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
John was predeceased by his mother, Blanche Shlyk. He is survived by his father, Alex Shlyk; sister and brother-in-law, Valentina and James Eledge; and his nieces, Courtney Carrozza and Dana Barbour.
John was privately cremated. A Celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 from 1-4PM at the American Legion Post 261, Washington Avenue, Piscataway. Donations welcome to support rescues via Furs Flyn- Stelton Road, Piscataway, New Jersey 08854. Boylan Funeral Home was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
