Obituary of Edmund J. Lorenc

Edmund John Lorenc, 92, of Edison, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on June 23, 2019. Eddie was born in Jersey City to John and Sophia Lorenc on October 5, 1926. He married Barbara Bogen on March 1, 1951, in Mannheim, Germany. He was a career military man serving in the Merchant Marines, Army and Air force, retiring in 1969. After his Military service Eddie worked for JP Morgan Bank in New York City until he retired in 1986. He and his wife were excellent dances and were in both square dance and round dance clubs. They enjoyed travelling and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Lydia Lorenc of 67 years in 2018.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Laura Towle, sons John and wife Janet and Mark and wife Toni. He also has six grandchildren, Michael and wife Catherine Towle, Mark and wife Kristy Towle, Daniel and wife Stephanie Lorenc, Jennifer, Jack and Nicole Lorenc, along with three great grandchildren Kaylee, Mason and Lucas Towle.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Haven Hospice and his caregiver Joan Campbell.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison from 6-8PM. A Prayer Service and Military Honors will be held at 9:30AM on Thursday, June 27, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville.
