Obituary of George V. O'Brien

George V. O’Brien, 72, of Franklin Park, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at home.  He was born in Trenton, NJ on January 28th, 1946.  Before his retirement, George was a systems consultant for Rhone Poulenc (Rhodia) in Cranbury for 36 years. He was a parishioner of St. Augustine’s RC Church, Kendall Park.

 

George was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Viola O’Brien, and his brothers, Joseph and Jack O’Brien. He is survived by his wife, Carol Mazanoski O’Brien; daughters, Lauren O’Brien, Dana Locke and her husband Kyle; grandson, Tyler Locke; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patricia Mazanoski, Janet and Steve Shuey, Edward Mazanoski, Anne Marie and Vincent Ferrara, Donna O’Brien, Connie Achachunas and a recently departed friend, Bill Deakin; along with his nieces and nephews, Tim O’Brien, John O’Brien, Beth Smink, Christine Shuey, Liliana Ferrara, and Enzo Ferrara.  And his favorite little buddy, Filmore.  George enjoyed celebrating his Irish heritage and always taking the scenic route.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  

 

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick; and Saturday, 9AM at the funeral home, with a 10:15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine’s RC Church, Kendall Park. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
