Obituary of Edward P. Owsik

Edward Owsik, 65, of Edison, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at RWJ Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Edward was enjoying retirement, and had previously worked at Sports Authority, Manalapan, and formerly worked for Bellcore for 24 years. He was a parishioner of Guardian Angels Church, where he taught CCD for many years. Edward was the Scout Master of Troop #76 of Edison where he helped 16 young men become Eagle Scouts. He was active in Edison Soccer and Midtown Little League where he coached all three of his children. Edward also enjoyed his time as a Band Parent with the Edison High School Marching band. Edward loved vacationing with his family, especially at the Disney Parks. He also loved everything about the holidays. He touched the lives of so many, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Julie Owsik of Dunellen. He is survived by his wife, Joann Owsik; a son, Edward C. Owsik and  his wife Amy of Croyden , PA; daughters, Melissa Eglow and her husband Christopher of Helmetta, and Jessica Zullo and her husband Michael of Edison; his grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Zoey and Michael Edward and his sister Maryann Larsen and her husband Robert of South Plainfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison, and Tuesday, 9AM at the funeral home, with a 10AM Mass at Guardian Angels Church, Edison. Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook.
