Walter D. Brunges Sr., 73, died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. Born in Kingston, PA, he was a longtime resident of Edison. He served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corp, a fact that he proudly shared throughout his life. Prior to retirement Walter was employed as a mail handler with the U.S. Postal Service. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Rose (Mancuso); his brothers Frederick and Robert Jr. Walter is survived by his son Walter Jr. and wife Lisa of Piscataway; his daughter Karen Brunges and fiancé Ron Holt of Cedar Hill, TN; his grandchildren Samantha, Dennis and Elizabeth; his brother Clayton and wife Linda of Marlton, his brother Mark of Monterey, CA and his sister-in-law Sandy Brunges. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as his two dear friends Lisa Zalasar and Luz Warakomski. Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 19th at 9:00 a.m. from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew's R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Family and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18th.
