Robert T. Bennett, Jr., 56, of North Brunswick, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Edison most of his life prior to moving to North Brunswick. An avid sports enthusiast, he was a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan. He was very athletic and played football for many years growing up. Bobby loved time spent outdoors and enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents Robert T. Bennett, Sr. and Joan Peck. Surviving are his sister Dawn Douglas and her husband Darren of Brick; his Uncle George Copperthwaite and his wife Cindy of Bethlehem, PA, and his Aunt Robin Copperthwaite and her wife Catherine Garofalo of Durham, CT; his nephews Jack and Luke Douglas, and his stepfather Robert Peck of North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to both Robert and his mother Joan Peck on Tuesday, June 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Ave., Edison. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 10 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
