Obituary of Raymond Yuro

Raymond Peter Yuro, 78, of Edison passed away peacefully Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Perth Amboy, he had been a resident of Edison for 47 years. Raymond served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Fred T. Berry and was a Gold Star Licensed State Boiler Inspector for 31 years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, the Tin Can Sailors, and the Lacey Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing Pinochle, watching sports and loved spending time at his shore home with his grandchildren and family. Raymond was predeceased by his parents John and Hedwig (Baluk) Yuro, his brother, John Yuro and a sister, Geraldine McKenna. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mafalda Di Ionno Yuro; his children, Deborah Henry and her husband John of Barnegat, Raymond Yuro and his husband Mark Morrison of Conifer, Co, Darlene Whitney and her husband Tom of South Plainfield, Raynard Yuro and his wife Beth of Monroe, and Donna Magliulo of Hillsborough; brother, Robert Yuro and his wife Bonnie; sister, Jean Gregowicz; along with 11 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 11 from 2-4 &7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison and Thursday, 8:45AM at the funeral home followed by a 9:30AM Mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison.
