Obituary of Dorothy Brown

Dorothy A. Brown, 89, died at her residence in Edison, on Tuesday September 3rd. She was born in New York, before moving to Edison many years ago. She was a Waitress for Embers Restaurant in Franklin for many years and she also worked at the Frank Brown Nursery. She was a lifelong member of Father & Son Post 435 American Legion. She was a past President with Democratic Organization in Edison, and a Democratic Committee Women for 17 years. Dorothy also belonged to VFW and was a past president in Milltown and was a member of Edison Lindenau Senior Citizens.She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2002; her parents William and Loretta Manning; her brother David Fitzgerald, sister Susan Monaghan and grandchild David Wilson . Dorothy is survived by her daughters Patricia M Brown of Lanoka Harbor and Pamela A Craig and her husband Robin of Edison; her sons Paul B Brown and his wife Maureen of Roebling, and Phillip B Brown and his wife Jill of Edison; 6 grandchildren Shannon Wilson, Eric Brown, Phillip Brown, Jillian Brown, Matthew Brown and Morgan Brown; and 4 great grandchildren Ariel, Michaela, Scott, and Kiera. Funeral services are Saturday, September 7th, at 10 am at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. Edison; entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home.
