Obituary of Stephen "Whitey" Aniskevich

Stephen "Whitey" Aniskevich, 88, died on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at his residence. Born in Plains, PA, he was a longtime resident of Edison. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a quality control inspector at its Edison plant for 45 years, serving also as an elected representative of the United Auto Workers union. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Stockton. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Jeanne Aniskevich (1994); his four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sons, Stephen, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Robert of Edison, Richard of South River and Michael of Lehighton, PA; his daughters, Jane of Corning, NY and Catherine of Lehighton, PA; his step-daughter, June Komkis of Middlesex; ten grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and his first wife, Catherine. The family would like to thank Embracing Hospice Care for their support, and extend a special thanks to Valerie for her love and care of their dad. A funeral service will take place 12:30 pm on Friday, August 9th at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave., Edison followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Family and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 10 am to 12:30 pm on the day of the funeral.
