Catherine (Sheridan) Griggs of Hillsborough died Thursday July 25th at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. She was 103 years old. Born in Carteret, she lived in Edison before moving to Hillsborough 6 years ago. Mr. Griggs was employed as a factory worker at Quaker Oats in New Brunswick for 30 years retiring in 1962. She was a communicant of Guardian Angels R.C. Church and a member of the Alter Rosary Society, and the Guardian Angels Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clarence in 1981, 2 brothers John and David Sheridan and a sister Marguerite Sheridan Kane. Surviving are a nephew Charles Kane of South River, 2 nieces Patricia Kane Kish of Easton, PA., and Kathleen Kane Masterson of Cape Coral, FL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 30th at 9:30 AM from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave in Edison followed by a 10 AM Mass of Transfiguration of the Lord at Guardian Angels. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3-5 PM.
