Dorothy S. Smith, (née Lagrone,) 65, of Edison passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at home. Born in Hawthorne, She resided in Edison most of her life. Mrs. Smith was a Contract Negotiator with American Express. She was a member of the Edison Elks Post 2487 Ladies Auxiliary. She most enjoyed time spent with her family and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her loving husband of 38 years, Foster Smith III of Edison; her daughter and son in-law, Danielle and George Findley of Edison; her stepson, Foster Smith IV of Nutley; four brothers, Bruce, Jack, Dan, and Dave Lagrone; a sister, Donna Predmore; four grandchildren, Jaleena and Karma Findley and Angelina and Foster Smith V; as well as a great-granddaughter Aubrey. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Entombment will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Martin and Edith Stein Hospice, 49 Veronica Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873.
