Obituary of Sr. Davison

John F. Davison, Sr., of Edison, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at his home. He was born on December 19, 1923, in New Brunswick, NJ. Jack fell in love and married his next door neighbor, Jeanne Creamer in 1946 and lived in Edison in the same home for 65 years. After serving in the U. S. Army, he put himself through college at night and graduated from Rutgers University. Jack worked as a chemist for Rhodia, Inc. for many years and retired from Rhône-Poulenc, Inc. Among his love for bowling, card playing, and baseball, he was a definite St. Louis Cardinals' fan at heart. He shared this love with his five children and their spouses - Jack Davison, Jr. (Mary Jane) of S.C.; Charlie Davison of N.C; Paddi Butera-Billings of N.C.; Tom Davison (Theresa) of N.J.; Mary Ann Mack (Steve) of N.J. - his 13 grandchildren - Jeanine, Brandi, Patti, Michele, Michael, Andrew, Joshua, James, Philip, Christina, S. Paul, Victoria, Andrea and 18 great-grandchildren - Vivian, Vinny, Matt, Kimberly, Vanessa, Claudia, Christopher, Veanna, Nina, Brianna, Destiny, Saige, Aidan, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Michelle, Emma and Colin. Jack leaves behind a sister-in-law, Margaret T. Creamer and a daughter-in law, Alice Davison. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Jean A. Creamer Davison; his parents, Charles and Clara Davison; his brothers and their wives: Robert and Margaret Davison, Richard and Florence Davison, Leon and Miriam Davison; and his sister, Kathryn Olsen. The family will meet with friends and family at Boylan Funeral Home at 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison on Thursday, August 28th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The memorial service will be at the Resurrection Burial Park, Hoes Lane, Piscataway, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29th.
