Jo-Ann E. Deo of Edison passed away peacefully at home after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born in Newark, Jo-Ann was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Anna Fortino. She retired in 2011 after a 30 year career at Marriott Travel Plaza. Jo-Ann was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, Sr. in 1998, her sister Patricia in 2014 and is survived by her sister Marion of Beaufort, S.C. Jo-Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Lynn O'Connell and husband Robert of Edison, Jo-Ann McIntyre of Toms River, Lisa Deo of Toms River, and a son Joseph, Jr. and wife Lisa of Old Bridge, 3 granddaughters Shannon Meissner, Adriana and Isabella Deo, and 2 great grandsons Robert Meissner and John Jarvis. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26th at 9:30 a.m. from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Transfiguration of The Lord at Guardian Angels. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 25th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
