Obituary of Ted Dygan

Theodore "Ted" E. Dygan, 64, passed away Friday July 11, 2014. Born in Braddock, PA he resided most of his life in Edison before moving to Friendsville, PA five years ago. Ted was a Pipefitter employed by New Jersey Transit prior to retiring in 2010. He was known for being a mountain man and enjoyed the outdoors. He had a true passion for his log home he was building and fishing in his man made pond. He loved having family and friends visit the mountain. Ted was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved football. He was a true loving, funny, caring husband, father, brother and friend and you would find him always with man's best friend, his beloved dog Bailey. He was always there to lend a helping hand to a friend, neighbor or even stranger. He will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Dygan. Surviving are his beloved wife of 39 years, Ruth (Trainor) Dygan of Friendsville, PA; his children Matthew Dygan and his wife Maria of Edison and Danielle and her fiancé Chad of Edison; his brother Kevin Dygan and his wife Michele of Atlanta, GA; his sister Joyce Bracken and her husband Ron of Gibsonia, PA.; and his grandson Theodore. A funeral service will be held Thursday July 17 at 10 at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday July 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Red Cross P.O. Box 4002018 Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.
