Ella E Elliot died at her residence in Somerset on Wednesday May 21, 2014. Born Ella Erna Scheidereiter, on April 22, 1921, in Insterburg, Germany. Ella later relocated to Salsburg, Austria where she served as Court Reporter for the U.S. Military. While in Salsburg, she met U.S. Army First Lieutenant Paul R. Elliot, whom she married on September 25, 1948. As a military wife, Ella lived in Saumur, France; Pittsburgh, PA; and Brooklyn, New York prior to settling in New Jersey. Ella became a Naturalized U.S. citizen in New York City on January 29, 1952. Ella worked all of her adult life. During her career Ella worked for Alpha International, New York City; 10 plus years in the German Department, Rutgers University in New Brunswick and concluded her career as an Administrative Assistant for greater than 15 years for American Hoechst Pharmaceuticals. Ella is predeceased by husband Paul in 1986. She is survived by son Jay of Somerset and grandson Paul of Cranbury. Family and friends are invited to the Boylan FH 10 Wooding Ave Edison, NJ on Friday May 23rd, with visitation starting at 9 am and going to 11 am. The funeral service will start at 11 am, followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
