Obituary of William Walter Bohn

WILLIAM WALTER BOHN Surrounded by family, Bill peacefully passed April 6, 2023 in Fort Myers, Florida where he retired, spending summers in Monroe Township, New Jersey. Predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Irene; daughter, Sandra Blondet; sisters, Margaret McMichael and Irene Marti (John); and brothers, Fred and Walter. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Veronica; and children, Diana CrowWheel (Don Chaney), Gregg, William (Susan), Scott and Steven. Bill had fifteen dearly loved grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Brooklyn, Bill was an OCS graduate serving in the Korean War as 1st Lt. He was a longtime resident of Edison Township, New Jersey. He taught at Guardian Angels Church and volunteered with Edison Rescue Squad. Bill was a teacher at Edison High School, Vice Principal at Herbert Hoover Middle School and Principal at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. He influenced great change throughout his many years on the Edison Township Planning Board. He had a passion for family, education, community and boating. If he wasn’t inspiring change for the future, he could be found out on his boat. He loved being on the water and used his boat to travel to many places. His was a life well lived. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church, Edison.
