Obituary of Marilyn E. Veninger

Marilyn Veninger, age 82 of Edison passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in East Brunswick before moving to Edison in 1966. She graduated from South River High School in 1957 and was an Executive Secretary at Johnson & Johnson International, New Brunswick for many years. It was at Johnson & Johnson that she met the love of her life, Jim. They married in 1961 and went on to have three children who became the center of her world. Marilyn was a member of the Edison Garden Club for twenty years. She founded the Edison Junior Garden Club and loved teaching children how to arrange flowers. Up until the pandemic, she and the "Edison Ladies" volunteed at Ronald McDonald House, where they designed workshops for the children and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Ernst. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James T. Veninger; her sister, Cecelia Reese and her husband Tom of The Villages, FL; her three children; James M. Veninger and his wife Laurie of Cape Cod, Karen Amabile and her husband, Dan of Flemington, and John Veninger of Plainfield; and four grandchildren, Madeleine and Emma Veninger, and Jack and Kate Amabile. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. Edison. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ.
