Helen Cecelia Mills of Edison, NJ passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 in her beloved home. She was born and raised in Jersey City and moved to Edison in 1966. Helen worked for Revlon in Edison for twenty years and retired as a lead clerk in the mailroom. She was a member of the Rosarians at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, as well as the Edison Senior Citizens' Club. She has become reunited with her late husband of 50 years, Robert Mills; her parents, Charles Sr. and Helen Whitney (née Balcer); her older brother, Charles Whitney, and his wife, Josephine; her younger brother, Ronald Whitney; her sister, Margaret Walters, and her husband, Perry; and her great-granddaughter, Daniela Mills. Helen’s love for her family lives on through her sisters and brother-in-laws: Eleanor and Robert Contini, and Elizabeth “Betsy” and Brian Meehan. She is also survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws; Gary and Joann of Lawrenceville, NJ; and John and Linda of Ringoes, NJ. Helen’s kind-heart will forever be remembered by her grandchildren; Matthew (and his wife Kimberly), Brian, Connor, Corrine, and Sean. She also leaves two adoring great-grandchildren; Abigail Ann and Mia Helena. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, December 7, from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, located at 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 8th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison. A burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison, or to Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
