Doreen English, 63, of Edison, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Doreen was a lifelong resident of Edison. She was a homemaker for much of her life but also worked in retail at Odd Job and Target. She loved children so it was no surprise that she spent much of her time caring for them as she worked for various daycares in the area as well. In her free time, Doreen enjoyed selling at the Englishtown Flea Market with her best friend, Betty, going to casinos, and playing bingo. Her life revolved around her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mimi. She treasured any time spent with her grandchildren. Doreen was a fun-loving woman with a fantastic sense of humor and an unforgettable smile that could brighten any room. She was warm and kindhearted and will be fiercely missed by all who knew her. Doreen was predeceased by her husband, William English; her parents, Harold and Charlotte McGorvin; and her brothers, Jeffery and Kevin McGorvin. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Bill and Laura English and April and Tim Langan; brother, Keith McGorvin; and her grandchildren, Julian and Miles English and Madison Langan. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
