Sarah Tremblay, 36, of New Brunswick, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, after battling Tardive Dystonia for nearly two years. Sarah was born in Dallas, TX on July 2, 1986. She attended Sanborn Regional HS in Kingston, NH and developed a love for Japanese culture and art. Over the years, she became an expert in all things Gundam, studied the Japanese language, attended Anime conventions and participated in numerous cosplay events. She lived in Japan for three years and, after moving back to the states, returned there several times with her fiancé and friends. Sarah had a photographic memory, a sharp wit, a great sense of humor, a vast network of friends and tremendous strength even when suffering greatly during her illness. She was determined to win her battle with Dystonia and then help others do the same.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Richard and Susan Tremblay of Stratham, NH; her brother, Christopher Tremblay of Brooklyn, NY; her sister, Danielle Tremblay of Providence RI; and her fiancé, Andrew Acampora of New Brunswick, NJ.
Following her wishes, Sarah was privately cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Her family encourages anyone who wishes to honor Sarah to make a donation to DMRF in her name.
