Bryant “Red” Deegan, 85, of New Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Red was a lifelong resident of New Brunswick. He served his country in the United States Navy as an Officer during the Korean War. He was a sheet metal worker and an international business agent for Local #27 as well as the assistant to Mayor Cahill in New Brunswick. Back in the 70’s and 80’s Red ran tri- county basketball for 20 years at St. Peter’s High School gym. Red was predeceased by his wife, Marie Deegan in 2006; his parents, John and Margaret Deegan; and his brother, James Deegan. He is survived by his children, Brian J. Deegan and his wife Cindy, Andrew J. Deegan, Julianne Yetsko and her husband Gary and Kathleen Deegan; sister, Mary Ellen Clark; along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 6-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 10AM at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
