John J Filozof, Sr, 72, of North Brunswick, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. John was born in Shenandoah, PA to the late Zigmund and Rosemary Filozof. John was a retired Sergeant for the New Brunswick Police Department. After his retirement, he worked at FedEx, Allied Security, and Real Estate. John also was a private detective, working under the “Seekers” name and was an avid member of Genealogy groups. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Branco) Filozof; daughters, Hope Filozof, and Amy and her spouse Al Flores; his sister, Theresa Heding; and his grandchildren, Shelby and Sonny Lawson. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
