Carmen F. Catanese, 90, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Sagamore, PA, he lived most of his life in New Brunswick, before moving to Somerset in 1993. Carmen was a trade painter and a member of the painters union in New Brunswick. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II. Carmen was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Moose Lodge. Carmen was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2000; his parents, Anthony and Martha Catanese; and all his siblings. He is survived by his son Anthony Catanese of San Diego CA; his grandchildren Jordan Catanese and Gabe Saunders; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7th from the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick; followed by a 9:30 am mass at St. Peter the Apostle Church in New Brunswick interment will be at St Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
