Carol VanBlargan, 79, of Edison, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. She was born on February 23, 1942 in Scranton, PA and was raised in Oneida, PA by her grandparents whom she adored. She moved to New Jersey with her then husband, Norman VanBlargan and settled in Edison for 60 years. Carol is survived by her three sons, Michael, James, and David; her darling Jan; and the light of her life, her grandson Niko; and her fur babies Cinnamon, Whisper and Ryan. Carol helped many people in her life and in the long list of accomplishments, on the top was taking care of others by being a foster mom for 53 children through Edison Family Services. Carol also loved the beach and volunteered at Sandy Hook for 25 years. Her love for children led her to work at a daycare in Old Bridge for the past two decades. Carol was involved with the non profit Holiday Express and she volunteered many hours at Mathany House. Her family asks, in lieu of flowers, to please pass on donations to the Mathany House and or Holiday Express. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Carol's Life on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison.
