Mildred E. Heitzenroeder, 94, of Edison, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Parker at Somerset. She was born and raised in New Brunswick and moved to Edison in 1955. Mildred enjoyed bowling, and belonged to a team called the Koffee Klutch. She also doted on her dogs, most notably, Brandy, Bella and Jax. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, John Heitzenroeder in 1983; her parents, Michael and Antoinette Gassaro; and her sister-in-law, Irene Gassaro. She is survived by her son, Michael Heitzenroeder and his wife Cheryl Shaw; a daughter, Diane Belaski; brother, Phillip (Buck) Gassaro; her grandchildren, Katrina Jacobson (John), Allison Hertel (Dan), Sarah Heitzenroeder and Joseph and Dylan Belaski; along with her five great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral Services will be held at 12:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
