Roberta A. Bertha, 89, of Edison, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Roberta was a lifelong resident of Edison. She was a teletype operator for Mack Trucks in Somerville. Roberta was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Joseph Bertha in 1978; her companion of 32 years, John Pirigyi in 2017; and her sister and brother. She is survived by her children, Joseph Bertha and Diane Tuchmatulin and her husband John; along with her grandchildren, Shannon Angulo, Joey Bertha and Jonathan Tuchmatulin; and her great grandchildren, Vivian, Charles and Patrick. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
