Rosario N. Estira, 86, of Edison, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at her home. Rosario will be fondly remembered by family, relatives and friends as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known as “Chayong or Rosing” a simple hardworking homemaker, caring , humble, kind and selfless. She was always ready to help in her own small ways despite her own challenges. She loved to sew, cook and bake making sure that everyone was delighted to their heart’s content. A final serving of her tasty leche flan and “kakanin” ( egg custard and rice cake ) kept us coming back for more. Fortunately, she was able to travel here in the US and abroad, highlight was when we took her to Rome for her 80th birthday as a gift, she attended mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. Rosario was predeceased by her husband, Claro Estira. She is survived by her children, Luzviminda E. Dorsett engaged to Michael DeFeo, Susie E. Par married to Mortimer Par and living in Canada, their two sons Mark Allan and Martin Leondro, Marilyn E. Nigos married to Johnny Nigos living in Singapore, their two children Karen Ianne married to Thomas Peter Abts, and Ian Jeimz also from Singapore, Clarita Estira-Guerrero married to Ariel Guerrero, and their son Adrian Carlo all from Singapore. Her youngest and only son Roberto N. Estira, is currently working and living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, married to Victoria C. Estira, his wife and their two children, Alfonso and Ariane Francesca are in the Philippines and their eldest son, Adrian Francis is working in Singapore. Rosario is also blessed with two great grandchildren, Kiean Peter and Katharina Emma Rose from her oldest granddaughter Karen Ianne Abts. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces who love her dearly from back home in Masinloc, Zambales, Philippines, and abroad. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 3-7PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 9:30AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
