Obituary of Helen Prukop

Helen Prukop, 94, of Edison passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the J.F.K Medical Center in Edison. Born in New Brunswick, she resided there most of her life, before moving to Edison in 2004. Miss Prukop was employed by Haidee Sportswear in Highland Park as a Presser before retiring, and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Worker's Union. She was also devoted to her faith and was a communicant at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in New Brunswick. She was also a true dog lover. Miss Prukop was predeceased by her brother, Edward Prukop, and sisters, Ann Prukop, Mary Charney, and Stella Papernik. She is survived by her nieces, Janet Wolff of Edison, Pat Golembiewski and her husband Bob of Edison, and her nephew, Edward Charney of Easton, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
