Obituary of Marie Theresa DiBenedetto Steffen
Marie Theresa DiBenedetto Steffen, 95, of Beaufort, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Carteret Landing Assisted Living.
Marie's devout faith was a strong anchor in her life. She was a founding member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Edison, and when she moved to North Carolina she became actively involved with St. Egberts Catholic Church. One of Marie's favorite hobbies was a post - World War II card club of 7 ladies that played regularly for 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Stryker and husband, Wayne of Beaufort, NC; son, Thomas Steffen and wife, Mary of Oxford; grandson, Douglas Stryker and wife Amy of Annapolis, MD.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Paul Steffen, Sr., her sister, Gloria Fehl and brother, Ralph DiBenedetto.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Edison. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
