Obituary of Margaret J Riemann

Margaret J. Riemann passed into eternal life on Friday, July 28, 2017 (one day following her 97th birthday) at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison.  She was born on July 27, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, but moved to New Brunswick as a young child.  She attended New Brunswick High School, but left to begin her career as a telephone operator with the Bell Telephone Company in New Brunswick, where she worked until starting her family.  She continued her career in communications working at Lee Memorial and Cape Coral Hospitals in Florida, ultimately retiring from St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Vera Vodli, her husband, Walter Riemann, and her sister, Elizabeth Lyons.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Latham and husband, Kenneth, of Metuchen; her son, Thomas Bunting and wife, Barbara, of South Bound Brook; three grandchildren, Kenneth Latham (Lisa) and Andrew Latham (Taryn), and James Bunting; five great-grandchildren, and many extended and much-loved friends and caregivers at Roosevelt Care Center.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, Wooding Avenue, Edison, NJ. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Margaret has requested that a donation be made in her name to The Breast Center at St. Peter’s University Hospital, 240 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
