Obituary of Clifford Johnson

Clifford Blaine Johnson, 82, of Edison, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017 with his loving family at his side. Born in 1934 to Harry and Mildred in Johnstown, PA, Clifford spent most of his life in Edison. After graduating from Johnstown High School, he enlisted in the army and was stationed in Korea. After his service he worked at Delco-Remy a Division of GM in New Brunswick as an inspector before his retirement in 1999. Clifford loved his sports and was a big New York Mets fan and he loved gardening. He had a great love for his family and friends and he will be dearly missed by all. Clifford Blaine was predeceased by his parents, Mildred (Wingard) and Harry Johnson, brothers and sisters. Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Betty Jean nee DeForte, sons' Harry and his wife Vicky of Dayton, William "Danny" and his fiancée Tatiana, grandsons, Joseph, his wife Fallon, Jeffrey and his fiancée Nicole Gorman, Great grandchildren, Landon Blaine, Madeline Victoria, and sister Lynn Spengler. He is also survived by sister in-laws, Madeline DeForte and Micheline D'Amato, brother in-laws, Joseph D'Amato and William DeForte, nieces, nephews and his dear friend, Carolyn Tochy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 3rd from 1-3 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Ave., Edison. A prayer service will be at 2:30 pm followed by a service from the United States Army Honor Guard. Cremation will be private.
